CMP welder 300 amp?
Hi Folks: One of our enthusiastic CMP restorers, Tom Allen of London ( 92 years young) needs a welder for a 15cwt CMP he is restoring. Apparently this truck was in Euroope with Tom's outfit in WW2 and made it home again after the war. Perhaps he even drove it then! Does anyone have a fairly complete Ford V8 powered welder for this project or know where to get one? If so send me a message with contact info and I will pass it along to Tom.... Thanks.

I spotted one on Alberta Kijiji a year or two back, and Rick DeBruyn from Alberta bought it. You could query him to see if it's available.
There was a spare in the Borden Museum inventory in case you have worthy trades. Just a warning when he does find one. They are HEAVY. When I had mine, the weight was evident when hoisting it onto the deck. Same thing when towing the KL long distances to parades with an MLVW. It was like a boat anchor. |

Why have one KL welder truck when you can have two? Kudos to Tom, he helped with some tech issues on my old KL truck ( Rob Loves old one)
I hope that I am still at it when I get to that age...
