Cool Skink turrets

I'm not sure how this works, but I'm trying to send you some pictures of the rough castings from a skink turret that we picked out of BC

Very beautifull images, Paul...
This turret is the late shape, with neck....

In the comparison with the pictures, it seems that my model is going for the good road....
I´ll make the late turret too...

thanks for sharing...

Can you give a little more detail about your kit? What scale is it in, (1/35 or 1/76?) and what kit is it intended to fit (Tamiya M4 or Dragon M4A1)?

Default As request....

John...
the kit is a conversion kit in the scale 1/35....
polyurethane resin...

You can use the chassis Tamiya, Italeri or Dragon....With some work, is possible to adapt in these mentioned chassis...
It is going with the hull, the transmission covering in 3 pieces, all the hatchs (hull and turret), guns, etc ...

About the tracks, pictures show Skinks with CDP and T54E1 Chevron tracks... it is a work for the modeler...

I am gathering information on CDP....
anybody, could it help me???
I need width, thickness and length of each link of CDP´s...

Suddenly, I could try to do a pair of tracks and drive sprockets of CDP....

Gentleman...
The construction of Skink continues....
I decided to leave the hatchs open , to man the tank later....

I made some increments with aluminum foils and scratch with plastic, using the maximum the tank "donor's" components (Sherman Italeri)...

I applied the first paint coating (Olive drab)...

This tank was in demonstration for Europe of January of 45 to the end of the war....
But the devil is that pictures of him don't exist, in this period.....

I think he should present, at least, the demarcations-pattern allied (stars of aerial recognition...)

:

What do you find????

Regards

Guys;

After a lot of opinions and researches, I think the POSSIBLE demarcations of Skink in Combat would be these:

1st Canadian Army, Elgin Regiment, Europe, Feb. 1945

Thanks to all that collaborated with the research....
