Default History books by Patrick Delaforce

Has anyone here read any books by British Author Patrick Delaforce?
Since I received zero reading material for Christmas I had to take matters into my own hands... I ordered a bunch of books online today (used, cheap) and just wondering what to expect and if anyone here had an opinion about Patrick Delaforce as an author and his histories.

The titles I ordered were:
Polar Bear's: Monty's Left Flank (49th West Riding Division)
Fighting Wessex Wyverns (43 Wessex Dision)
Churchill's Desert Rats (7th AD, obviously)
Marching to the sound of gunfire: NWE 1944-45
Monty's Northern legions: (50th Northumbrian and 15th Scottish Divisions)
Monty's Highlanders (51st Highland Division)

I also ordered some Ken Tout books. I have read "A Fine Night for Tanks" and thought it was a good read. Hopefully his other books are as good:
Roads to Falaise
To Hell with Tanks
Tank! 40 hours of battle, August 1944
In the Shadow of Arnhem

Thanks,
Bill.

Hi Bill;

In my opinion, all the books that you've ordered are good reads, both Delaforce and Tout, I have copies of them all.

Cheers

I too love to read and I'm thrice blessed with a wife that loves to read also, a public library that holds an annual book sale (all hardcovers----25 cents!), and a great used book store nearby.

Heres my list of recent reads:

Battle Zone Normandy; Juno Beach by Ken Ford
The Observer's book of Ships by Frank E. Dodman
Air Power at Sea 1939-45 by John Winton
A Bridge too Far by Cornelius Ryan
Up Front by Bill Mauldin
Herbie by Bing Coughlin
A Rising of Courage by Dan Hartigan
The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer (a personal favourite)
Under the Bombs; The German Homefront 1942-1945
Desperate Siege; The Battle of Hong Kong by Ted Ferguson
Pictorial History of the Great War by S.J. Duncan-Clark and W.R.Plewman
Canada in the Great War by W.S. Wallace
The Encyclopedia of Weapons of World War II
Duel for the Golan; The 100 hour Battle that saved Israel by Jerry Asher and Eric Hammel

Any comments, queries, or reviews eagerly anticipated!

CHIMO!
