Default Wanted: Carrier Air Filter

I know this post should be in the 'Sales/Wants' section. But just to aim at the carrier fraternity. I'd very much like to replace the Landrover air filter that is currently installed in my Canadian MK2, with the correct filter.
Seeing how a few of you chaps in the UK still keep finding stuff! Is it possible that one of you can help.

Regards Ron

Thanks Richard, that is definitely an option. I'm sure Terry Roberts (Metal Magic) could do it and maybe my Landrover filter is close enough to be modified to save the cost of a complete item. If nothing comes up, I'll be in touch.

Well Rich. If you don't need your filter for a little while. You could send it down to me to compare with this filter I have. I know Terry quite well at Metal Magic, and maybe get yours repaired at the same time. If that's OK I'll PM my address. Ron

Hi, Was this later style of air filter unique to the carrier?. One point of note is the tank hunter carrier uses the 'monkey face' style of filter used on some CMP trucks. I have an early Mk1 carrier filter here but am also looking for a later style filter, perphaps send Dirk an e-mail and ask if he might be getting anymore.

Kevin.

I'll ask Dirk. Brian Astbury hasn't got any and says they are the same filter as fitted to White M3A1 scout cars.

Default Ron

I spotted a similar one on epay the other day. It was listed as a 1938 delux air cleaner. The seller said there were two options for the 1938 truck, and this is the better one. I have no idea if its the same. The base was rusted. It was one of over 1000 bits listed under flathead ford v8.
I dont know if its carrier specific. My UC-F1 on page Q14 refers to it as a 18205B assy.
