RCAF plant
I've yet to identify either the era or nomenclature of this RCAF Snowblower and was hoping someone might know either answer. It's a pretty serious piece of kit and I'm wondering if it might have only been used in Canada at one of the WEE Flight (Winter Experimental Establishment) locations. There were many amusing incidents which arose from the RCAF's efforts to keep aircraft flying in the most severe conditions imaginable which led to this poem by Frank Phripp:
Now listen all you hangar men, who've never seen the North, You've sat upon your buttocks and watched us sally forth. Now when the next time comes around, you'll have to show your face, For those who went up last time, are going to stay at base. Singing-who'll go up this time? Who'll go the noo? The boys who went up last time canna go a noo!
