Default MLU Express: Ontario to BC Spring 2021

Good day all,

There is a planned tractor trailer load from Eastern Ontario through to the Lumby / Salmon Arm area of BC this spring once the roads dry off.

The trailer will have some deck space for lumpy bits or crates. At this time I think about ten feet by eight feet will be available.

The move will happen for sure, if you have something you should email me through this forum and give me a heads up as to what you have and we can go from there.

All the precise details will be gone through at that time

all the best

Default I'll take it.

I'm pretty sure I could use that space, email; sent, and pm.

Provisionally the big space is now spoken for.

Some small items could still also travel if need be.

Contact me via email if you have needs

Default Success!

Thanks Robin for the heads up on the transportation opportunity and getting all the neccasary communications and contacts working together. It was timely and worked out great for me. Thanks to to Jay Curry for the sale and logistics loading on the Ontario end, i have to see that machine when you get er dun!
I also had the pleasure through all this to meet Al Hale and his lovely wife up in Lumby, what a collection! A feast for the eyes. Made the trip up and back from Lumby with my treasure in tow and is now safely awaiting an exterior clean up and paint before mounting it and bringing it home. Never gave up looking for the proper wire 5 box for my truck and you all came through. Nothing but the best from the MLU community.

Harry, it was a delight to be able to help you in making the match between Al and his load of trinkets and the extra deck space.

I myself have benefited from many such connections and try to help others when I can.

You have been very patient in your waiting for the load.

Default A marriage made in Canada!

Thanks to Jim Watkins and John Hawthorne for the help and a place to unload work on and load my newly aquired wire 5 box.
The old box was a Wire 5 floor that I duplicated 20 years ago in anticipation of restoring the chicken coop I had. I really wanted to get on the road back in 2004 and fabbed up the wooden structure over a weekend and outfitted it with benches and a comfortable bed. It proved it's worth over the years and Ive spent a lot of nights in the back and the truck has been all over and on many convoys. I'll store that box for another project further down the line.
I worked on the front of the wireless box primarily to get it ready to put on the truck and bring it home, nice place out there but it's an hour away in traffic and the convenience of home was the goal.
So yesterday we swapped it off, got the new one on, hooked up the taillights and licence plate and brought it all home. More to come but the priority is getting it externally presentable for displays and drives.

Always nice when a plan comes to fruition, even if it takes decades. Congrats.
