Question Sorting Out Radio Cables

I have been on the search for a specific radio cable for my M38A1 a CX-4723-10.
My plan is to put in a duel radio system with a RT-524 on one side and a PRC-77 set and a AM-2060 (AN/GRC-160) on the other. I have managed to source out a the following cables, 1 CX-4721 (power) and a CX-4723-4 from MT-1029/VRC tray to Control Radio Set C-2299/VRC. My major problem now is trying to find a CX-4723-10 (10ft 18 pin) anywhere. I am even open to finding a longer one and shorting it. HELP!!!

Does your M38A1 have the radio power recetical already installed...? It should be on the right side just behind and next to the right hand seat. Your diagram just has it shown... I have on in a 1967 M38 A1 as well as the cable protector that runs accross the rear deck just behind the seats... I am guessing with the amount of holes there are in the rear fender wells that I had a dual set up of some sort...? Any way let me know if you are interested and we can work something out...Thanks Casey

I have basically every thing but the CX-4723-10. My jeep has copper bolts for the cable channel ,I was also wondering if this is a standard practice.

Craig:

Good news...I have 3 of the 4723s.

Bad news:... They are 3', 4', 6'.

If you can "glue" a 4' and a 6' together, they're yours for postage.

Tried eBay?

The cable trough on my veh has bolts that are painted over, but they look like yer standard bolt.

I have only seen regular bolts on the floor cover, but copper bolts would make sense, since that location is prone to rusting. If you have the rest of the radio installation instructions, what is the spec number for the bolts? If it is a mil spec MS90765, 6, 7 or 8 (along with a dash and a couple more numbers, which will represent the size and length) these are just regular gr5 or 8 bolts.

Default Maybe a foot shorter

I just put in a 10ft power cable cx-4721 and found out it was more than adequate at 10ft so a 9ft cx-4723 may do. I will be ordering on from Fair Radio Sales and the let you know if it fits. I also found out that in the drawings it calls for a 80in (6.6ft) Power cable 5995-00-823-2827 CX-4720 that must be a discrepancy with that drawing.
