Default GS and Special Truck bodies

This question may have been once answered, if so weed it

Did the standardization of Commonwealth truck production extend to creating GS cargo bodies that were directly interchangeable from, say, a Bedford 60cwt to a CMP 60 cwt? Form photos there seem to minor differences in things like racks and stoage underneath, and mud flap mountings, but oitherwise the things look much the same. Was the same true for special purpose bodies like repair or shop vans?

I guess I am also asking this question in 1/35 scale not in 1:1. I have some older publications that give plans in 1/35 that give me dieas for yet more projects. I will be scrapping a CMP portee six-pounder, and will try again with something more generic.
