Default Yet another M3 scout car on ebay

Been quite a few of these lately. This one has the rear armour intact....but not much else.

Default Diff/Rims

Anyone know if that's the correct rear diff? Looks a bit like a Ford Bren Carrier diff. What about the rims? Skate rail's missing. Shev made a previous comment I think that the rail holds the rear armour together?

Certainly not the right rear diff. The correct axle has the brake drums set well clear of the rear wheels, not hard up as you see here. The axle ends do not protrude out through the wheels either.
Having said that, this is a good one to grab to restore.

M3A1 WHITE SCOUT CAR, CHASSIS No 260 237

ARMOUR HAS BEEN MODIFIED BY THE AUSTRALIAN ARMY AS A (OBSERVATION POST VEHICLE).

THIS VEHICLE SEEMS TO OF COME OUT OF A PARK AS IT HAD A FLAT FLOOR FITTED & CERTAIN THINGS HAVE BEEN WELDED LIKE THE STEERING COLUMN, SPRINGS TO DIFF, AND A SPOT ON THE END OF THE AXLES. CHASSIS IS IN GREAT CONDITION & HAS TE VERY HARD TO FIND ROLLER & REAR ARMOUR..

This vehicle has been totally guted and there's an awful lot of panels still needed. Wish I had the money, time, OMG what am I thinking
