Default 1984 Western Star wrecker

I know it is a white fleet and not a CMP vehicke but it is ex DND.

While on a quest for something else yesterday I found this gem and another exactly the same. This one is like as released and just aged, alleged runner and complete. Think this one came from CFB Uplands where maintenance once was located. He is asking $30,000 for this one.

The other which is the same but has been worked since release and looks shabby by comparison and was once in the Valleyefield PQ area he wants $15,000 for. it was jammed in alongside other kit and I couldn't get a shot

Basically he wants to keep the pretty one for himself. I get it.

If you have real cash contact me otherwise enjoy, he doesn't tolerate time wasters well and I don't want him inundated with tire kickers.

These are located in Ontario east of Toronto.

I had thought that this was a twin boom Holmes but was reliably informed that they were a Quebec made clone.

I somehow think that DND could get away with any weight they liked as they were the federal crown but in civvy street you would be overloaded with pretty much anything on the hook.

As an aside, the REME Museum also has a Western Star (albeit a heavier version, ex BATUS): https://www.alamy.com/western-star-r...ip%3d0%26pl%3d
