Default Aust LP2 radio / ammunition covers

I am after any pictures (and hopefully dimensions) of a cover similar to the radio cover installed in some LP Australian BGC.
I have included a section out of the parts manual that shows the radio cover.
I have also attached a pic of a BGC that was on Ebay earlier this year, that was located in South Aust, but I believe this was bought by someone in QLD.

Has anyone seen this other cover of a more simpler construction?
Is this a late wartime production radio cover or perhaps an ammunition cover for a modified mortar carrier?
Anyone with another theory on these covers?

I think, and am hoping, that this simple construction cover is actually an ammunition cover, it looks right and the side mounting brackets would fit my brackets on my hull.
I will have to look at making 2 of these covers sometime in the future.

Thanks for any suggestions, pictures or dimensions.

Default Radio Cover

Hi Darren

There are two covers... I have had both, the difference is the spacing between the lugs that mount the cover.. I actually think that the cover that is in the picture was one of mine that got swapped in a deal... The worst part i\s I did nt realise that they were different and the one I kept is not actually correct for my carrier..

I will try to find it and have it measured up

Tim

Are they common with a normal LP2 carrier? I can have a look at the Museum's display carriers?

Regards Easo

These covers are common for any Australian BGC that was fitted for/with radios.
While researching and collecting pics I have noticed a variantion- just not sure I am correct in my assumption in first post.
