Default 900 x 13 Tyres

Hi

Apologies if this has been covered before, but can anyone recommend a source of 900 x 13 tyres for the Bofors within Australia ?

I have good rims to work with just trying to source tyres

Thanks in anticipation

The 6pdr ands 4.2in Mortar both had 6 stud wheels with a 10in rim. The 40mm Bofors used 5 stud 13in rims from a Morris truck, which are those pictured.
If the tyres are WW2 tread, I'd certainly have a use for them.

And those 13" rims will fit a Land Rover also.

Beach buggy anyone !

While the Land Rover and Bofors/Morris hubs share the same stud size and pattern, the centre holes are different sizes. The centres of the LR rim are 112mm, while the Bofors is 104mm. The Landy rims will fit a Bofors nicely (How do I know that?), but the Bofors rims will only fit an early Series 1 Landy with Semi-floating hubs (as per Len Beadell's Woomera survey vehicle). The later Series vehicles went to larger bearing sizes and the centre hubs are larger, same with Defender.

Hi Tony

Not a problem, I'm only tripping over them in the shed, so make an offer either PM or e-mail

Cheers

Campbell, have you checked your E-mails and PMs yet? By my reckoning, you should have 3 e-mails and 4 PMs not yet read!

Question

So what's going on now, Campbell? As you are not able to receive my E-mails or Private Messages, I will respond here. I saw tonight that you were online, so I looked at the "Who's online" section to find you were reading a thread. I re-sent the PM's to you. I then looked at the "Who's online" section again and saw that you had then changed over to "Using the Private Messaging system", so I can only presume that it was in response to receiving the PM's. After remaining within the PM system for around 5 min, you left MLU completely. The questions I asked and the points I raised weren't that difficult to respond to, so I can only conclude that you are no longer interested in selling these wheels.

Hi Tony

I can confirm reciept of your first and second PM's this morning 070907. I have replied to them accordingly.

I posted a public post to say make an offer, if you like make an offer and see what they are worth to you.

As for your other issue about me being online at a certain time, denying messages etc, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Cheers

Cam
