Hi, Has anyone got a pair of these rifle brackets circled in red, or a diagram to fabricate them ?, don’t need the end clips.

Thanks

Default CMP Rifle brackets

Hi Kevin,

I will get out my drafting equipment and knock out a drawing of the brackets for you. They are just mirror images so one drawing will cover both.

Cold, wet, Melbourne day here so it will be a good project.

Stay tuned. Will post it here.

Here is a closeup of one in the meantime.

Cheers,

Default CMP rifle brackets- drawing

Hi Kevin,

Please find attached.
All dimensions are imperial as that is what it would have been designed to originally. Will leave it to those who like metric measurements to do the conversions. Just take care if you round off hole spacing measurements if you use the metric system.

Also some close up photos showing the small radii in the corners and the bend radius.

Hope this is of some help to you, or others, if you cannot find some originals

Cheers,

Default CMP rifle clip brackets- leather pads

Hi Kevin and Hanno,

You are most welcome. Always glad to help out.

Maybe of interest is an original leather pad that was on one of my clips.
I am surprised it survived 75 years of exposure.

The local bikie leather gear shop sewed me up the replacements.
Only colour they had was brown, but who would argue with them!

Cheers

Default Rifle clip pads

Hi Arthur,

They are just one piece folded over and sewn into a pouch as best as I can tell from the remnant. Edges seem to be raw.

Attached is flip side of pad in previous post.

Cheers,
