Default Illustrated Body Parts List - D.N.D. Special Pattern Bodies

Illustrated Body Parts List (4 manuals are available for sale)

These manuals were part of a box of CMP Publications obtained from a local armoury a number of years ago. All are unused, but have some minor dirt scuffs on the front and back covers. They are possibly government reprints. The paper has the right weight but seems to be an acid free type, lacking the patina old paper frequently attains.

The manual is set up with three binder posts to allow updates to be easily added, as new CMP bodies came into production. The main section was published in October 1941 and is divided into 11 Groups: 8cwt, 15cwt-Wood, 15cwt Steel, FAT, 30cwt - 3-Ton, 30cwt - 3-Ton -Wood, 30cwt - 3-Ton Steel, 3-Ton 6x4 Workshop, 30cwt Ambulance, Standard Parts and Holmes Wrecker.

In front of this original publication is a January 1942 update for the 30cwt - 3-Ton Breakdown Truck in Group 5, a Standard Parts update for Group 10 and a new Group 12 for the 15cwt Water Tank Truck and Water Tank Trailer.

If you are interested in one of these four manuals, I am asking $50.00 USF each, plus postage. Please PM me with your address and I will get you a return quote for postage costs and then we can arrange PayPal payment.

Thanks,
David

Default Body Parts List

I a number of years ago got a copy of the "Body Parts List" From the late Alex Blair.
This version is dated October 1941 and with a handwritten notation of being "revised January 1942"
Who might have the most recent or most complete version? If copies were to be made we should look for an edition with the most information. I'm looking to fabricate from new steel a Budd GS C60L cargo box. Anybody have the body parts list for that?

Harry.

I have only ever seen this list equipped exactly as you describe. The initial publication came out in 1941, followed by a handful of additional bodies in 1942, but many sections (and always the same ones) are empty.

Many years ago, I wrote the Directorate of history in Ottawa asking if they had a complete listing in their files. They did not. It is almost like this publication was abandoned in 1942 for some unknown reason, but I have no idea what might have replaced it.

Harry: The cover of my copy says D.M.&S No.1 issued October, 1941 but the inside title page says Issued October 1941, Revised January 1942 and many of the individual pages (Group 5 and Group 12) are also marked January 1942.

Would it be possible to get an extract form this manual. I would like to have the pages on the 30 CWT 3 TON steel GS body.

Give me a few days to check.

I 'think' I tucked a copy away for future reference, but I will need to check the less obvious places. If I find it, I will check the local print shop for making the copy you need and get back to you.
