Korean War Service June 25th
For those that live in British Columbia, On Saturday June 25th there will be a Korean War Service of Remembrance at Burnaby Central Park at 11:00am to mark the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Kapyong. Would appreciate if any forum members would attend and park their vehicle for display and provide a backdrop to the Korean War Monument "Ambassador of Peace". A picnic follows the service and you are welcome to participate. The Vancouver Naval Veterans Band and Colour Party, BCR Bugle Major John More and BCR Irish Pipes and Drums Piper will participate. The Mayor of Burnaby, Senator Yonah Martin, Minister Harry Bloy MLA, National President of the Korean Veterans Association of Canada are a few of the special guests. Location, next to Boundary Road, between East 47th and East 46th Ave, Burnaby Central Park. Please arrive by 10:00am. Coquitlam "Veterans Way" unveiling Tomorrow
Hello, after the Korean War ceremony tomorrow some of us are heading to Blue Mountain Park in Coquitlam, close to the Coquitlam Legion where Western Command has its montly meeting, the Legion /City are unveiling "Veterans Way" road. Please join us - 2 events in one day and close together.
