Default BB 46 battery tray

Yep, that's it!

The two batteries fitted into the left and right open trays, the "T" handle secured the tops of the batteries with a right angle clamp arrangement.

Your pic looks to be in pretty good shape, usually these devices were often coated with white oxident from either boiling over, or from road-movement tipping, which caused all sorts of funny smells and residue in the operator's compartment.

Dave, I will happily take 3-4 off your hands if you buy the full lot. If not, please put me in touch with the vendor. Robert in Toronto

Default Battery Trays

I guess it depends on his asking price but remind him that they would be VERY easy to fabricate. The photo just shows some cut and welded angle iron sections. After a coat of olive drab paint and with two batteries clamped in place, it would be impossible to tell if repro. or NOS. Any idea on the weight/cost of shipping to Toronto ? Also, if he is a fellow MV collector ask him what items he might need in trade ?
