Great video.
I bet those brake drums were rather warm by the end of that drive.

Carrier action
Nice one. Just on 13 minutes of Carrier action in the hills, that must be a first. Nice to hear that tweeked Flathead pulling away up the track in 2nd gear. Awesome stuff.

Marvelous video! Great to see it slip and slide trying to get up that slope. Bet if the soil was not as loose it would have climbed it no problem!
Love the terrain. Makes for a great playground. Holland is flat as a pancake... Cheers,

Fun alright!
Thanks everyone, it certainly was a lot of fun! As you can imagine thats only a small taste of what we got up too, we were too busy driving to film the rest. It is great to have that sort of terrain at our doorstep.
Jordan, yeah the brakes do get a bit warm. The brake pedal goes too the floor pretty early as the drums get hot and expand but the steering remains fine, just with a little more freeplay. Definitely 1st gear on long downhills for max engine braking and as little brake use as possible. And I'm sure you're all aware that a series of "lock" skid turns seem better than dragging the steering brake around on long turns. David, what do you mean "tweeked" flathead? Its original as! haha. Yeah it certainly goes good and runs sweet all day long with no dramas. Those small "tweeks" were well worth the effort. What do you reckon, part 2 video with several more carriers soon?

So while showing off with my carrier on the weekend on a cadet exercise, I threw a track while trying to make it up a loose gravel slope... Took three hours and a tractor to drag it up the slope and replace the track. Not near as glamourous as your video so photographs may not be forthcoming!
