Default Old trucks military civilian

Today I went to George Groves Garage in Russell On to drop off a differntial and came across a whole bunch of really old trucks. He told me that he had a few old military trucks including a Reo circa 1952.
this gentleman has access to a world of used truck dealers across the US and Canada, might be useful if you need something you can't find. We are talking about the bigger trucks 2 1/2 ton and up Gilles

Default Groves Graveyard..........

I was in that yard a few years ago. There was at the time many old trucks that certainly had a interesting appearence. It is hard to describe but you almost got the feeling that the original owners of the trucks are still around the trucks. What struck me the most was the hand lettering on some of the older trucks. Family businesses and farms....where did they all go....what trucks are they driving now. There were some real classics..... kind of like walking down memory lane. These are trucks that were an every day appearence years ago.... but one by one they have disappeared.

***How is that for sentimental***

Default Picture....Grove's Truck Parts

I had the chance to chauffeur my 3 year old grand daughter this morning. As she lives but a few miles from Grove's, I went and revisited the yard.

The price of steel a few years back resulted in 90% of the old trucks being scarpped.

There was but a few trucks of interest.

I submit only the one picture to ensure I do not mess up a bunch.

Default Old Trucks

There were only about 10 trucks to look at. Mostly old fire trucks...52?Chev....Old Ford Pumpers.
On the way there though I found this old interesting truck. I don't think it is for sale.
As for the camera...... Canon gave me a brand new camera to replace the 8 year old I had. Something to do with recall....
