Default Machinery Lorry "Lindsay Structure"

Hi

The ATDB history records that some of the CMP machinery lorries had a Lindsay house body. Can someone please suggest a reference or describe the Lindsay structure? Was it different to the all steel van body?

Thanks

Doug

Doug,

The Lindsay body is well illustrated in the AEDB 8-volume (or later 2-volume) reports. I will send you some stuff tonight.

Doug,

The pictures are examples of the Lindsay house type body. It comprises a steel frame with steel panels screwed on. They came in various shapes and formats, incl. workshop, stores, ambulance etc.

HTH,
Hanno
