The middle steel box might be a P59, measuring 486 x 216 x 199mm, containing 4 shells. Probably the most common type of 25-pdr projectile box.

The wood boxes with the rotating type clamp closure might be Indian P62 timber boxes or similar, containing four fuzed shells, measuring 540 x 273 x 281 mm.

Hi Mike! Thank you for your quick reply!
What is the P62 equivalent in metal box?

As I understand it, the timber boxes for 25-pdr projectiles were mainly wartime expedients to overcome a shortage of sheet steel, or rather, to leave sheet steel for other higher priority purposes. I'm not sure there is an direct equivalent as such, only the more common P59 sheet steel box, which I think an example, end-on view, is visible in the middle of your image. Of course, I have no idea what the situation was in your part of the world, or where the govt of Argentina was getting supplies from, so my replies are guesswork.

Ok Mike, i understand.
Argentina now have pos wwII 155 105 90 mm artillery guns , all with your wooden box but nothing like WW2 british ammo box...
How nice it would be to have all those boxes inside the truck and show what they were used for.
Regards
