I agree Andrew. I reckon they'd look quite smart in high gloss pillarbox red, with the PMG signage on the side. It almost looks like a coat of arms in Keith's pic.
As well as being practical they'd also be much quieter and less draughty with the coachbuilt cab.
The one in Rod Diery's pic is in amazingly good condition. The ones I saw in the '70s were already badly rotted.
