Default WS 62 talk

Interesting lecture on the WS62. The set was in production (?) in Australia as late as 1956. PYE had their Australian factory located in a Melbourne suburb (Clayton), and is where the sets were manufactured (or used British sourced sets were reconditioned , the jury is still out on this)

I didn't know about the Dutch Philips connection with the EF50 tubes.

The set will tune down to the top end of the Medium Wave broadcast band, so it has the potential to become a 'amateur' broadcast station and cause interference with your local town AM broadcast station. I can remember buying these sets for $30
