Windsor Carrier Questions
Hi there
Two questions to start: What was the problem with the Eaton two-speed rear axle? One reads that the Windsor was not successful because of it but what was the issue? Were Windsor Carriers built for Canadian and British Contracts or did we just get them from the Brits? Thanks in advance. Steve

I was under the impression that they didn't steer very well via track warping due to the extra length over a normal UC. I imagine they would have been much better had they had the controlled differential from the T16.

To my knowledge there was no problem with the 2 speed rear diff
it did make the carrier a slight bit quicker and gave the carrier more pulling power for towing the bigger guns As for the steering, the Windsor steers ever bit as well as the mark 1's and 2's if not better just my opinion after using both having used both vehicles |
