Default 86 Bridge Company 1942-1945

Hello everyone! I am a new member working in a Long Term facility in Mount Forest Ontario. One of our veterans is requesting help finding information about his company the 86 Bridge company. One of the Threads we read talked about equipment that this unit used for building the bridges. Could anyone help out there? Also a book was mentioned as well. My Veteran said that his commander ASW White was going to write a book about the company. Does anyone know if this has happened and if so, how can we get it? Thank you everyone! Diane

Hi Diane,

I sent you a PM re. your questions.

According to me there was never a book written about the 86th but there exists one about the 85th Bridge Coy (very hard to get hold of). There is a brief mention on the Canadian Bridge Coys in 'Wait for the Waggon', a book about the history of the RCASC. I have a copy so can provide some scans if you want.
