They're not finished yet, I have to cross check and reference some items yet, such as the size of the Tool boxes, and also other missing details.
The tool box still looks a bit narrow. It scales out at 32", but information from John J. Valenti shows it to be 24". I've settled for 30" at the moment as I delve into it a bit more, although it looks like it should be a bit longer when compared to photographs.. Some dimensions are a combination of scaling from drawings and common sense, bearing in mind that they would had kept to basic dimensions when making i.e, 24" instead of 23 1/2". So on that basis this will be as accurate as it can be nearly 80 years after the last ones completed their operational life. There are only 7 basic dimensions to work with from a simple drawing. Everything else is educated estimations, scaling and the odd WAG (Wild Arse Guess!).
Please give feedback and comments if you see any mistakes or want to query details. I'm trying to produce as near as possible a definitive drawing, so different perspectives are always useful.
Lastly I need information about the floor. Was it flat sheet metal, or did it have ribs/strips to strengthen it. I'm fairly sure that it wasn't wood planking, but I've been wrong before so open minded about its construction. Also some proper dimensions for the PASS plate holder on tailgate.
