Poor man's Tank Destroyer
The OKH, especially Hitler placed great value on Self-propelled guns throughout the war. Virtually every tank chassis, from the PzKpw I's Bison to the Tiger's SturmMorser, had a SPG version. Here's an unusual picture of a PAK 35/36 mounted unmodified onto a French Renault UE to make a somewhat mobile Tank destroyer/Self propelled gun.

Neat pic!
Although the mount looks more like a Renault UE than a CV33. best regards Aris Kosionidis |

Fire the editor!

Gentlemen, I think we have a little controversy here. Everyone with a copy of: "The Encyclopaedia of TANKS AND ARMOURED FIGHTING VEHICLES, General Editor Christopher F. Foss (ISBN 1-57145-806-9) please turn to page 294 and tell me if the vehicle identified as a CV 33 is actually a CV33 or a Chenillette, 'cause it's the same vehicle as in the pic I posted. Derek.

The editors screwed up and placed the wrong picture under CV 33, it's definitely a Chenillette, but what I really want to know is how did you draw those cool lines from one pic to the next? Derek.
