Not exactly what you asked for, but here is a link to a photo of a 17 pdr M-10 of the 5th Anti-Tank Regt. of the 4th Canadian Armoured Division. Scroll over to the 3rd image and enlarge it.

John

Great stuff thank you. for the 3rd Anti Tank Regiment, as I cant clearly see or have found a picture. but the the 3rd Anti tank Rgt with the M10's would be 46 red over blue and the gray 3rd ID insignia?? And the troop/battery markings would be the same as the 5th At regt Achilles??

Just recently had a sudden interest in this one. According to research from Barry Beldam and his Armoured Acorn site, he shows AoS 46 associated with 3rd 3rd A/T Regt. A different quality but larger image leaves no doubt the marking on the rear is 46. Finally from the the CanadianSoldiers site dealing with vehicle markings, it gives that same marking as AT regiment belonging to divisional troops.

Yes the red over blue tactical recognition flash is for artillery. The white numbers identify the artillery division. My father was an M10 Sergeant with the 5th anti tank, Royal Canadian Artillery. 77 was used on all the vehicles in that Regiment. search “M10 17pdr s237818” for an interesting story about my Dads tank “LELANI” Cheers to all, keep up the great research work!
