liberation of Delft by 48th Highlanders
Art,
See http://home.tiscali.nl/~jschoe/lib/lib5/ and click on "08-05-45 Delft". It shows the picture (attached below) of the 48th Highlanders of Canada during the liberation of Delft. Do you know any of the guys in this picture? Regards, Hanno |

48th photo
I saw the picture Hanno and the officer looks familiar but I can't put a name to any of them. I'll pass the photo on to a collegue and see if he can do something at the next Old Timers meeting.

A great collection overall, but horribly mislabeled in some respects! Nonetheless, well done.

Thank you, Karmen
There are some here who were there at the time. They are the reason I do what I do. I can say no more. I think you know that.
The Dutch and the Canadians will always have a relationship unequaled by any other. I am so proud of that. I first learned it in 1975. It has been reinforced since. We have a bond which shall never be broken, and indeed this day, Dutch troops are standing tall with Canadians in southern Afghanistan. There can be no greater honour for us.
