Default RCASC, Stock Clerk, Ralph Stanley MADDICK

I am trying to trace the history/service of a Ralph Stanley MADDICK who was a Stock Clerk in the RCASC (Royal Canadian Army Service Corps) during WWII.
I know his Regimental Number was: B 8847.
Anybody any suggestions on how to go about this?
I do not know his date of birth, marriage or death.

Question Ralph Stanley MADDICK

Without being personal, what are your reasons for tracing this person?

An idea of why could help point you in the right direction.

Paul.

Default RCASC - Stock Clerk, Ralph Stanley MADDICK

Paul,
I am currently doing the family history for a close friend who does not have access to a computer.
The subject is a bit delicate but after all these years things have moved on.
My friend, Bob Maddick, was born in England in Cuckfield, East Sussex, 1943.
His mother was Kathleen Ruth Sheffield but claimed to be Mrs Maddick.
She had been going out with Ralph while he was stationed here in England in a place called Ripe, East Sussex (we believe). They were very close and he said he would marry Kathleen but when she told him she was pregnant he said he was already married and had daughters back home in Canada.
Kathleen was devastated and from that day on called herself Mrs Maddick and said that her husband had been killed during the war.
My friend Bob, with my help, managed to track down one of his three half sisters in Rose Neath, Ontario, Canada and they corresponded briefly.
This was about 2001 and Ralph had died about 8 or 9 years ealier. Bob thinks Ralph was born on the 1st January but doesn't know the year.
Correspondence between Bob and his half sister has ceased and we cannot find out anymore details about Ralph.
Any information would be gratefully received.
Regards
Terry
