Default Jeep engine overhaul questions

Not sure if I've posted this in the right spot, but needing advice. After removing a friends 1952 Jeep engine for rebuilding today, I need to know the proper or safest way to remove the front crank pulley. Removed the nut, there appears to be 3 tabs that stick out. It's a stamped metal pulley, not cast iron. Does it require a puller? Phil
