Default Fan Wanted

Can anybody assist with or suggest where I might find a similar ventilating fan like this one? It appears to be a black cast iron motor (3" around and 4" long +/-) with a three bladed fan about 6" in diameter. I'm assuming this is probably a common 1940's era fan as used in school buses, etc. 12 volt preferred, but 6 would do.

Also looking for a spare dome-shaped cap (that covers the bulb) for a Festoon lamp, as used on Bren Carrier dashes.

Thanks.

They must be a common enough after market item. I used to work with a company that had Wagner log stackers and they had them. They are often found in forklifts. Does the one you have carry a manufacturers name?
Can you post a pic. of the light?

The old oliver tractors had almost the identical hood. Mine fell off the other year and I do not expect to pocate it.

There was a similar hood on the GPW/MBs, was there not? Although not identical, it should do as a filler.

Default Thanks Rob

My 'missing one' was crushed. I discovered it was brass, rather than steel, and it didn't fix up too well.

They are very similar to the GPW/MB dash lamps but a size smaller.

The lamps themselves are a restoration project on their own. The wires are typical brittle rubber that needs replacing but the parts are press fitted together so rewiring is almost impossible without destroying the thing. The on/off switch is invariably broken off and equally difficult to replace.

Same lamps were used on the Ford Lynx Armoured Car. Surely someone has discovered the Canadian OEM supplier of these lamps?
