Wanted: chevrolet badge

Hi All its a long time since Ive posted on the Forum been busy with other projects but here goes.
Im well into the restoration of my no 12 cab chevrolet blitz and the only part that I am now missing is the " CHEVROLET " grill badge and door handles.
Can anyone help with an original badge or lead me to the person in Holland I think that makes good quality replicas.
Also the door handles however from memory they were not that special and could be relatively easy to manufacture if I had a good photo or sample to copy.
If anyone can help I would be a very happy bloke.

Back in 1978 when I first restored my HUP the Bow Tie Badge was missing. This of course before shopping online. So I borrowed a Bow Tie Emblem made several impressions of it plaster of paris and cast one out of lead. Then returned the original to the owner who I borrowed it from. The casting looked so good it is still on the HUP don't think anyone has ever noticed. To me it is symbol of the restoration process.

By the way you really have to let the plaster paris dry completely, several days, I rushed the first lead cast pouring the lead into the plaster while it was damp it of course shattered the mold.

They do come up once in a while.

The original thin brass stamped Chevrolet badge was intended for the 1937 Chevrolet trucks..... one on each side of the engine cover. Two studs were soldered on the back for fixing in place.

Score one last week for $21.50 U$ in very good shape.

I don't know about Canada, but in Australia the big hardware stores and ladies' craft shops carry casting kits. They consist of a mix-up rubber solution that you pour over the original item. When it is dry you can peel it off and you have a permanent mold to produce dozens of replicas in epoxy resin.

I made one for Dodge nameplates and have done about 10 and the mold is still in good shape. Once painted you can not tell the difference but you need to spend some time either painting or polishing the original as it it duplicates every scratch and paint chip.
