Studebaker US6 info sought
Greetings!
I need bits of information specifically from TM 10-1503 (this is the one with the blue cover), and the September 1942 edition of TM 10-1564. The information I seek concerns the lighting, fuel tanks and the cargo beds. If anyone owns one of these manuals and would be willing to look up some info, please drop me a line. Or if you have one of these manuals for sale/trade, that would be great too. Best wishes, David Doyle www.DavidDoyleBooks.com |

Thank you
Thank you for the reply. Can you provide a photo of the page related to the headlight system, the fuel tank (if it is shown) and the cargo bed?
Sincerely, David |

David, This photo from Internet. But I have G-630 Service Parts Catalog (1944) in PDF format. I can find the information you need.

Thanks for pointing those out Owen, but unfortunately they are not the editions that I need. I am seeking the earlier editions.
Best, David |

Thank you for that post Sergey, but unfortunately, that information is from the August 1944 edition (which I have). I desire to compare this information to the information in the 1942 edition, which will be different.
However, thank you for your effort to help. Sincerely, David |

Sorry David, but can you say anything about this truck: http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=30671 ?

Unfortunately, I have not yet studied Fords, so I am unlikely to be able to add anything to the discussion about the bomb truck. I do have a little info about bomb trucks in general, however, so what is it that you would like to know?
Best wishes, David |

David, This truck is not in the books of Crismon and Vanderveen. As a materiel of the Navy, it is not included in the documents of the US Army. First, I would like to know the model designation.

Hi David
I have a TM 10-1503 with blue cover. It does not have a date of publication on the front cover. A typed sheet of paper with the date July 17,1941 has been glued on the inside of the front cover. I could not see anything on cargo beds. I am happy to look up whatever you need. |

Thanks Darryl,
I am curious what the early manual shows as the part number for the radiator guard (group 2103). Any help appreciated. Sincerely, David |

Hi David
TM 10-1503 with blue cover is a maintenance manual and does not have part numbers. I have a parts list TM 10-1564 dated February 1943 which has the Studebaker part number for the radiator fan shroud as 666539. I hope this is helpful. |

Have here a really bad but still readable picture from the spare parts catalog for Russia. It was published in 1943 but IMHO the picture is from earlier catalogs not after 1941, if judging from the symmetrical headlight guards and item 2103-2. And the same picture with much better quality from the spare parts catalog for Britain, also published in 1943. The nameplate is there but the item No. is deleted. Probably the one who was responsible for the pre-print preparing decided the arrow is too hard to erase. I wasn't able to find the number 651031P in those references I have here. I've found only 649305P but apparently it is out of question, being retrieved from late catalog. Where 651031P is, Darryl? TIA! Cheers! Last edited by Ilian Filipov; 12-04-20 at 00:24. |
