These are also resin kits, all made in the Czech Republic. Concerning the QL, also a single cab is available. They are now working on three-axle Fordson (reportedly the fire engine version as is shown in Duxford). If some of you are interested in more information just let me know.

I provided Plusmodel with some information earlier this year and received a Fordson in return, which I want to convert into a 6wheeled balloon truck. Please tell me more about Plusmodels plans to build a 6 wheeler. They told me they wanted to build the Fordson WOT3 RAF, with the closed rear body.

I do not have the exact information concerning the Plus Models Fordson. In fact it was my idea to produce the WOT1 when I got the information that the WOT3 would be made (it started about two years ago when one Czech MV enthusiast restored a nice WOT3 in 1:1 scale which was a master for the 1:35 one). I have collected some materials concerning the Fordson WOT1 6x4 for Plus Models, then the guys told me that they liked the 6x4 van. When I met them a few weeks ago they told me they would like to have also the fire truck and they were speaking about the open cab - so I presumed it might be the one from Duxford. So in this moment the only fixed information is that there will be 6x4 Fordson WOT1 (probably in Spring of the next year). The rest is kind of secret. Anyway, I also have a WOT3 and it really seems to be very good model, I would only paint it earth brown with black Mickey Mouse patches rather than light olive/black, but it is a matter of discussion.

I've never seen the Fordson WOT1 fire tender at Duxford, only the barrage balloon vehicle. Aside from the open top variants of fire tender on the WOT1 chassis, there's also one which used the standard WOT cab like on the WOT3 kit and the WOT1 barrage balloon vehicle at Duxford, it's called the Weeton type fire tender. I've got plenty of photos of them if you're interested in this variant, they were also used on many USAAF bases in the UK as well

I am not the specialist...but if my eyes are not completely out of focus, then I would say that the front of that FORD V8 is not really as it should be:

The angle of the hood is not correct at least.

What is your opinion about that particular model?

Hi Kuno and other scale modelers,

Only a few Panzer resin kits could eb called accurate (but of course, what is accurate - even some Accurate models are not too accurate

, and also some 1:1 vehicles are not accurate

). I agree that the LRDG Ford V8 seems not to have correct shape of the nose. Some time ago I was thinking about building this vehicle from the Ford sedan car made by Pyro. It is 30 or 40 year old model but time to time available on swap meetings or ebay. But it is 1/32.
