Default Wireless Ground Strap Finishing

Further to comments on Jordan's WIRE-3 Thread, and in order not to hijack it, I did a quick rummage in a parts box and found some examples of how the ends of the flat, braided wire ground straps can be finished.

These photos are of 5/8-inch wide straps, but the various techniques can be found on probably most, if not all, sized straps and there are probably other styles of lugs used as well.

The first two examples are simple solder dipped and drilled/slotted ends. The second pair have had sheet metal wraps applied as well as the solder dipping and then the drilling/slotting was done.

Sheet metal wraps come from a short section of copper tube squashed and then soldered.
