As in past years our Spring Show will be held at the Legion branch in Acton Saturday morning February 9, 2008.

It always seems to be a snow storm when we have this show.
Hopefully it will be nice driving weather this year.

With the weather these days you may have to wear shorts and a t-shirt in February.

The OMVA show is held at the Acton Legion at 15 Wright Avenue in Acton, Ontario. From Highway 401 take exit 320 northbound on Regional Road 25 about 16km to Acton. At the traffic lights in Acton turn left (west) onto Mill Street West. Go 3 blocks and turn right at Wright Ave.
I plan to have at least 2 tables of NOS CMP spares and a table of NOS Carrier spares in addition to the usual jeep spares. PM me for any special requests.
This is always an enjoyable show. See you there.

I thought I'd get my feet wet on the Forum in the quiet OMVA section but there are some sharp eyes out there. I've enjoyed lurking on MLU for a while and thanks to all, especially you Geoff for it's creation.

This is for the MLU loyal posters that don't know who BRIAN is..
Brian Asbury is the guru of CMP ..Carrier...and general old military vehicle parts here in Canada..
Brian is honest..and has parts that are priced right..and hopefully you will support Brian as he has been great support for all us Rusty Old Truckers for years..
And he has tons and warehouses full of NOS parts..
Hopefully Brian you will modify your profile that every time you post you will give contact information here to contact you for all our parts hungry crew..

You are very kind in your comments. Thank you. Yes I was lucky in the 1980's to be able to score a lot of good CMP and Carrier spares from Levy Auto Parts, a huge surplus dealer in Toronto, but after close to 20 years of selling, my supply has thinned. I wish I still had "warehouses full"! Many CMP's across Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe sport decorative parts that I have sold including the rare bumper jewels that I used to buy by the box full.
Levy Auto Parts in Toronto was, I believe, the only potential source in North America for CMP parts and I was lucky to spend several years scrounging through their vast storage buildings. Only a handful of collectors had the time to spend there buying parts; it was just too time-consuming and the CMP market was quite limited at the time. It was estimated that 10's of thousands of tons of army truck and tank parts went to scrap.
Worth a complete story one day!
