Hi Guys ,
Can anyone recommend a good source for Flathead Parts ? I would prefer a online source so i can pay by credit card, i am not too fussed if they are in australia or anywhere else just so long as they provide good service .

Default Here you go, James

Full race configuration from chuckstrucks. You will of course have to make some mods to make it fit, and also paint some GT stripes down the middle but you'll make an impression at Corowa for sure!

Max needs that one for the ute if he is tail end Charley. Should give him enough grunt to tow any breakdowns.

Default Catalogue

I had a quick once through the catalogue - some very useful Ford CMP trinkets there including horn buttons, brake and clutch rubber pads, choke and throttle knobs, not to mention all the engine parts.

Mike Davidson's Flatattack Racing in Sth Aust is OK, but a bit biased toward Hod rodding/Racing. Pete's Early Spares, also in SA, is another source for original parts (more tarditional/restoration rather than Hot Rod), but I can't find their Ph No?!?!
Ross Prince in Qld has some V8 stuff, but lots of military Blitz bits. (07)4124 4075.

Default Flathead Parts

James - Google will give you many sites. I just tried it and was inundated with them. Other than that, be specific, what do you need? Of course depending on your mechanical prowess it may be easier and more cost effective to have the motor professionally done. Unfortunately my motor builder recently died leaving a great hole over here.

Google produces lots of sites but i am after business that have been used by fellow MLU members . I have the majority of parts i need but i have 8 flatheads now and six will need to be rebuilt over the next few years . The motor i am rebuilding at the moment needs a Carby kit and the dizzy needs a rebuild plus a set of head gaskets , the motor after that will need a new set of valve guides ,gaskets, rings ,valve seats, dizzy rebuild ,471 blower rebuild ,2 carb rebuild kits and various other bits and pieces .

Last motor i paid someone to rebuild was a 308 holden motor and it threw a rod through the block after 2 years i dont know if it was the builders fault or not so now i will do my own .

Bob can you pm me the number for the guy that was after my number the other week i have some seat springs for him but no contact number .

James
