This Youtuber's channel has him doing practical mechanical repairs to old equipment. He has fixed his several light trucks, two half-tracks, a forklift, several Jeeps (mostly CJ2s) and lately a part-military part-civilian 1 1/2-ton short wheelbase 4x4. This video caught my attention because he is working on straight-six 1950s GMC engines. There are a number of situations that arise which make a fellow laugh at his jokes and what he says about acceptable standards, and also muse at the practical mistakes he is avoiding.

His videos require a well tuned set of BS filters. He'll show something disastrously bad and make some smart remark that could be misunderstood as agreement. But, unlike other well-funded and well-researched videos, he goes to the stash boxes of parts or the boneyard of parked vehicles or an assortment of junk and pull out a piece to keep the project moving ahead. I think epoxy gluing the cracked block of a CJ2A back together is the best example. Or, he'll use a 5' length of steel channel and a forklift to torque a bent bumper back into alignment. One pull and no heat. If it works, that is good enough. However, he has commented on not irreversibly changing good condition things on one of the half-tracks.
