Oh yeas...
Oops - y'know I can only call that a senior moment on my part - I now recall looking at it when Lynn first posted and thinking "yeah - right" but this morning, at around 5.30AM when I saw it I must've been half asleep! DUH!

Oil leaks
Old vehicles seem to be rather prone to oil leaks - with the rear main engine oil seal often causing trouble with Fords - when I drove a FGT from Sydney to Melbourne in the 70s oil on the clutch became such a poblem the journey was only just completed with top gear only possible going downhill with a tailwind and minimum throttle!
Other places for leaks are transfer case lower seals, pinions, and in partucular the gearbox tyre pump is a bad culprit.
