I am restoring a 1939 Morris 8 e series at the moment that possibly had a army past in Ireland.

Hi Sjoerd,
I remember the Morris 8 Series E well as it was the second car that my father had, a 1948 model, prior to that we had a 1938 Austin 7 ! (this was in the early 1950's).

The Handbook is a very interesting read it sheds a lot of insight as to how the US Military perceived their UK brethren. I have a copy and if you ever stumble on a copy at reasonable cost grab it.

Cheers Phil

"The Station Commander leaving for his office after breakfasting in the mess. He is driven by a W.A.A.F. MT driver."

1939 Ford Fordor? (as Ian suggested)?
