Default Ford Master Cylinder- bore size

Hi Lynn,

I am assuming F15 and F15-A brake master cylinders are the same so the dimensions below are from my F15-A. Will stand corrected if they are different.

The bore is 1.250" diameter. The piston measure 1.247" diameter.

See photo attached.

Cheers,

All the Ford trucks from 8cwt to the 60cwt and the gun tractor used the same 1.25 bore diameter master cylinder. The only exception was that the F60H could have a 1.50 diameter cylinder.

The Ford part number was 91T2141, and the current part number for a number of the jobbers is mc4572.

Many thanks guys, I was having difficulty with finding the bore size, Plenty of part numbers, but no size
I need two of them for my carrier so who is the best supplier?

It seems the number is 91T2140 (2141 is the body?) Macs has them at $69.95 each, Is that good? Are they American made?

My mistake, yes you are right, 2140 is the group for the master cylinder complete.

If you were to order right now, Rock auto has two of "CARDONE SELECT Part # 1334572" for just under $30 each Cdn.

I can't say where these are manufactured, since just about everyone is having portions if not all their product made in China. I have used a half dozen or more of the modern production master cylinders in the last few years and had no issues with any of them.
