Hi Adame; The first thing you would have to do is to find out if in fact the ‘Lorne Scots’ actually had an entitlement to ‘carriers’. The Lorne Scots never fought as an infantry ‘Rifle’ battalion throughout the period of the Second World War, instead they were dispersed throughout the army overseas in Company (Protective Company for Corps HQ and Defence Company for Army HQ) and Platoon (Defence & Employment Platoon for Brigade HQ) strength and also for a time as ‘divisional employment platoons’. The only sub-unit of the Lorne Scots that may have had an entitlement to carriers would have been the ‘Protective Company’ for Corps HQ (27 August 1940 to 31 December 1945) and the ‘Army Headquarters Defence Company’ for First Canadian Army HQ (1 April 1942 to 12 April 1944). Cheers

Re: "It appears to be a parade in Oakville"
Quote:
“B” Company of the: - The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment) - Non-Permanent Active Militia (from 1 Sep 39 to 7 Nov 40) 1st (Reserve) Battalion, The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment) - The Canadian Army (Reserve) (from 7 Nov 40 to 6 Feb 41) 2nd (Reserve) Battalion, The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment) - The Canadian Army (Reserve) (from 6 Feb 41 to 1 Apr 46) was localized at Oakville and the carrier would not carry an Arm of Service or Formation marking, if indeed it were a ‘Lorne Scots’ carrier. Cheers
