Default Fabrication of Wooden 2H1 Body

Hello all,

A while back, I saw either a thread or a YouTube video of someone building a wooden 2H1 body for their CMP truck. Darned if I can remember where it was and searches of MLU aren't turning up anything. For all of you that have photographic memories, unlike me, can you point me in the right direction?

Cheers, Richard.

Default Wooden cargo box

Hi Richard.

For some reason the two attachemts do not seem to open for me.

A wooden box would be a neat project BUT you would almost need and old wrecked one to copy from.

Bob C

PS OK found the trick in my "downloads" ...... still think you need access to a box to be able to copy from with some accuracy.

The thread about building a box was likely my 2A1.
I have a good 2H1 box on one of my trucks. There's an iron framework and the wood is regular fir shiplap.

Default Yes the 2A1.....

Thanks David

What month, year, thread was that?? The 2A1 would be more appropriate for my cab 11.

Did you copy from an existing box...?

Default Woody box

Thanks David.

Still toying with rebuilding or doing a new one for my 2B1 using the 3 rusted hulks I have to copy from. At least I have the boxes to do the reverse engineering.

Cheers

I knew someone around here would have a 2H1 box! I had been talking to Bob just a few weeks ago about this style box but had no leads other that the drawing posted in the first post.

If only you were closer I would be over in to take pictures and measurements to use to build a box for a truck I am hoping follows me home next month.
