Default Ferret Fuel tank brackets

I'm in need of a set of tank hangers, a supplier in Mother England, or a rubber cement that would do the fix. Thanks.

Hi Wayne,

The best dealer to try in England, is Richard Banister, you can email him at wjrbanister@btconnect.com They have an excellent stock of parts for RR B Range engines, Ferret, Saracen and Saladin.

As there is a lot of load on those mounts, it would have to be a good adhesive if you were to try and repair them.

You could also give Marcus Glenn a try. He's a really nice fella. What Mk do you have? I have a Mk 2/3. There aren't a lot of ferrets around these parts.
Here's his link.

Hello Dan! Good to hear from you. May I suggest that you post some more photos of your Ferret? Better still, come on up to Ottawa on Tuesday night next to show the photos!

Default Supplier information

Thanks Richard and Dan for the links.
I am restoring a Mk2 with all the usual Australian modifications fitted.
The vehicle was retired by the military in 1976 then packraped by farmers with blowtorches soon after. The Ferret was 1 of 9 that had their armour cut off at the hatch level and turned into fire fighters in the wheatbelt area of West Australia.

That sounds like a lot of work....it would be a challenge indeed. If you need any pictures to complete your project, I would gladly snap some of my Ferret. I helped restore a Mk 1 a number of years ago, so I know what is ahead for you.

Rob, I am unfortunately working a long shift at Molson breweries. I am working on a beer boiler, and it needs to be completed soon. So if you are having a Molson product, I am there in spirit. It would be neat to meet Mr. Mulholland, as I know his son quite well. We were in the same Suadron for a number of years, and he was my gunner...I was his driver. We were in Bosnia together aswell. So if Bill is as nice as his son Mike, I am missing a great time tuesday.
