Hello Serge, thanks for sharing that picture plus info. Sadly, the thread “Indian Pattern FAT” went missing, maybe we should use this one to re-assemble all the info.

Indian Pattern FAT (second edition)
We used to have a long running thread on the Indian Pattern FAT here on MLU. For some unknown reason, it has disappeared...
Did anyone somehow save a copy or print-out of that thread? Anyhow, in the meantime I may as well just start over again.

Dutch Forces in the Netherlands East Indies got many vehicles and equipment handed over from British-Indian army units in 1946.
The picture of the four trucks is of the 6th Indian Field Artillery before they (and the 145th FAR (Berkshire Yeomanry)) handed over their guns and trucks to the Dutch.

Thanks for your contribution to rebuilding the database with information on the Indian Pattern FAT. I didn't think about your earlier message, so I have now merged both threads to keep all info in one place. For now I have attached a picture of a line up of the trucks of BATT B (Battery B) of the MARBRIG (Netherlands Marines Brigade) at Waroe, Indonesia, September 1946. The four trucks in the middle are Indian Pattern FATs.

Precarious crossing at Driaredja
We've seen this photo before: an Indian Pattern FAT in dire straits...
This truck of the ARBAT (Artillery Battalion) has left slipped off the bridge with its right front wheel on the jeep bridge near Driaredja and is in danger of ending up in the water. At the back of the truck there is already a tow chain on the tow bar, we are now waiting for the tow truck.
