Prize delivery
read the fine print. The prize "will be delivered by mail". Does that mean my Postie will be carrying it or driving it?

It is a Civilian jeep CJ-2A painted green
I am more familiar with the military models, but it is definitely an early Civilian Jeep (thus the CJ) probably the CJ-2A
Key features: - Drain holes above steps on sides - bug eye headlights (also seen on M38/M28A1 etc) - Spare tire mount on right side aft fo wheelwell. (M38 has the holes and could carry a spare there but this was not common) - Windshield panel has washers and loooks like it has WILLYS in middle (normal for CJ) - Hood should also have WILLYS on each side, and I don't see it here so has wrong hood I believe. In Korean War they used mainly WWII MB and GPW jeeps. In the movie and TV series they used a variety of types. I can't reall off hand if the movie or TV shows used CJ-2A jeeps. Looks like someone probably thought "close" was good enough. A jeep is a jeep is a jeep... ;-) Signed Colin Stevens -- Owner of a 1944 Willys MB and 1942 Ford GPA (amphibious jeep) and former owner of slat grille MB, stamped grille MB, GPW, M38CDN, M38A1CDN2. |
