Default 1942 HUPC restoration info

I am restoring the above and let me tell you that almost everything on it needs replacing including the Radiator.
I have access to a 1947 Chev 3 ton truck rad in half decent shape but it turns out to be about 1 inch higher than the proper rad. Can anyone tell me if there is enough room under the hood to handle this longer rad? The truck is all apart so I can't drop it in to see if the hood can handle it.
Can someone check their HUP to see if this longer rad will fit under the hood???? Many tks, Bill Spence

Default clearance

On my 43 HUP there's about an inch and a half clearance between the hood and the rad cap so it should work.
