It's good (albeit without that damned music - would rather have heard the aircraft engines)... but did you happen to notice that between 2:04 and 2:08 the camera panned across a deHavilland Mosquito? Now... is that real and flying, or a mock-up??!!

it is a mosquito, about the size we get here in northern BC.

Actually it is an original that is not fully restored. The video was shot at the Oshkosh Airshow this past summer. Right after that though is a Canadian Lancaster that does a flyby and you can hear the engines. This years show was dedicated to Canada's 100 years of flight.

I didn't think there were any flying mosquitos about. Although I think THe RAAF museum at Pt Cook is working on restoring one.

One of the joys of living in Hamilton (there is to many list) is that we are the home to that Lanc. Im priviladge to see it fly most weekends during the summer and sometimes during the week. It amazes me that I can hear it over a lawn mower while cutting grass but other people can't even look up while walking down the street.

I think that Mosquito is based out of Windsor. I know there was a group rebuilding one almost from scratch. ive seen the fusilage about 3 years ago at another airshow.
