Default Dave Uhrig

I sadly just learned of the passing of Dave Uhrig today. Dave passed away November 2nd from a long illness. For those of you unfamiliar with Dave he was the former owner of Army Jeep Parts in Ohio and was the proprieter of Armyjeeps.net, a sales, marketing and appraisal service for military vehicles.

It was through Dave I bought several of the pieces of my collection, past and present, and credit him with many introductions to some of the big players in the MV world like Littlefield, Ropke and Smith, people I would probably never had the pleasure to meet without Dave's kind guidance.

A lover of all things military, WW2 expert and tremendous family man, Dave will be missed.

I'm really sorry to hear this.

I worked with Dave in selling a couple vehicles years ago. In my dealing with him, he was forthright, respectful (which is sadly becoming uncommon in MV brokers), and I could count on him to do what he said he'd do. Although I didn't know him on a personal basis, I'd wager he was a quality person based on the way he treated a newbee getting in to the MV hobby, that asked a lot of dumb-beginner questions.

Sorry to hear about that. I did not know him personally, but he was indeed a well-known name in the HMV world and it seems he will be sorely missed.

Dave did some appraisals for me a few years ago. He was very professional, courteous, and timely. I’m sad to hear of his passing. Jesse.
