Wiring
G'Day Ron
I might be able to help with a few items for you. I run an electrical wholesale outlet and have access to all the terminals, heatshrinks, tapes, saddles, toggle switchs, welding and auotomotive cable etc. I can even get braided straps made to order. Any size and Amp rating. Just contact me and I'll see what I can do. By the way those data plates are being cast soon and will be ready for Christmas. Grant Fincher |

Grant, I guess you wanted this as a reply to Ron's wiring thread, but pressed "New thread" by mistake?
Reason I jumped in here, are you getting LP2A plates repro'ed? In steel or brass? I have a S.A.R plate a mate wants a copy of. Which style of plate are you doing? Any idea of pricing yet? |

Plates
G,Day Tony
I have a plate for an LP2 off the carrier I just bought and I have had a foundary knock up a tool to recast it in cast iron. Once the tool is made they cast in batches of 6, so some will be up for sale. There are blank sections on the plate for stamping the place of manufacture and serial numbers. I have also put a blank section in for the year of manufacture. I have seen plates from "Ford Sydney" that had the year 1941 ground off the plate and 1942 stamped onto it. This will allow more people to make use of the repo plates. The makers have tried to keep the metal as close as possible to the original and make it soft enough to stamp the information on without snapping. With the making of the tool and casting, each plate should be around $140 -150. I can have as many made as I like if they prove to be suitable and the price will come down. I will have them just before Christmas and will post a picture on the forum when I get them. Regards Grant Last edited by grant fincher; 03-12-06 at 02:42. |

Toggle Switches
Hi Grant
What can you access in toggle switches. Haver looked far and wide for the Carrier types and Blitz ones but no luck. Bob |

toggles
Hi Bob.
the toggle switchs I used are Arrow Hart from the England. They are rated at 20amps and have a very similar toggle to the original. They are available in single and double pole. Single throw(on-off) and double throw(on-off-on fuel tank guage selector) They have screw terminals or quick fit spade lugs. Here are a few shots from when I rewired the instrument panel. The panel was a Max Hedges special. Thanks Max. |

Armour conduit
Hi Grant,
On the subject of wiring, Do you have a source of supply for the flexable metal conduit that is used for the tail lights on the carrier and where the wire joins the head lights? Thanks Grant, regards, Ron,

Condiut
Hi Ron
I do have access to quite a number of flexible metal conduits but I am not aware of the one used on the carriers. If you can post a picture and I can source something similar. I can supply the solid conduit bends and tees etc. Regards Grant |

Thanks for showing your wares Dirk, but you never answer your emails. I have sent you no end of requests for pricing and even rung you in Holland and still no reply. After 2 years I gave up. If you are unable to ship to Australia just say so.
